Obtaining a visa and opening an account in the UAE

Golden visa

Advantages

Who can get a golden visa?
  • Owners of real estate worth more than 2 million dirhams
  • Qualified employees with a diploma and a salary of more than 30 000 dirhams
  • Investors with a fixed bank deposit of more than 2 million dirhams for a period of 2 years
  • CEOs or managers of large companies
  • Scientists, researchers, doctors of sciences and prominent figures of culture and sports, as well as doctors and engineers
  • Students and graduates of UAE universities with an average score of 3.8 or higher

Golden visas

10-year golden visa

Requirements:

  • The construction level should reach 40%. It is possible to obtain a permit for a lower percentage, but this requires approval from the DLD management and entails additional costs.
  • The total value of the property must exceed 2 million dirhams
  • A minimum of 1 million dirhams must be paid
  • The title deed must be issued to an individual (not a company)
  • The spouse may also be indicated in the certificate of ownership, provided that there is a legalized marriage certificate. In this case, the main applicant will sponsor the spouse.

Required documents:

  • Pre Title-Deed/ Oqood/ Initial sale contract (total value over 2 million)
  • Statement of Account and payment receipts
  • A copy of your passport, visa and emirates ID (if available)
  • A copy of the medical insurance
  • A photo for documents

Requirements:

  • The total value of the property must exceed 2 million dirhams
  • Title deed* must be issued to an individual (not a company)

  • Fully paid Title deed
  • A copy of your passport, visa and emirates ID (if available)

  • Loan: NOC from the bank indicating the loan amount and the amount paid
  • Installments from the developer: SOA from the developer + Pre-title deed

Opening a bank account in the UAE

To open a bank account in the UAE, you need to contact one of the local banks, such as WIO or ENBD.

Foreigners with a resident visa, an analogue of a residence permit, can open any type of account. To do this, it is enough to fill out an application form through the app or on the bank's website.

Non-residents of the UAE will need to be personally present at the bank's branch, provide additional documents and confirm compliance with the strict requirements of anti-money laundering legislation.

Current business accounts can be opened for both local and foreign companies registered in the country.
